Why write?

There are people who like to play with words. You can do your writing as a hobby - writing poems, writing stories to entertain children or adults. You can also make writing as a career – do freelance writing. You can choose the writing life that best suits you as of now, then, change it later when you have gained experiences and as you grow. In writing, sometimes, it can be a little difficult to decide whether or not to write anything about your life. The non-fiction writing will be based upon how well you know the topic you have chosen. We can’t deny the fact that the best writings are those that include a personal touch.

There’s nothing wrong with including some parts of your life in your writing and it is also okay to write down your experiences. This way, you are the only expert of your own writing. What you must understand in including your personal experience is that you are not offending others. Moreover, if you want to include someone in your writing, make sure that you have their permission.

When using personal experiences, you can use stories or events from your life as additional information. There’s more to writing than you can think of. If it starts as a hobby, then when you're able you to make a lot of articles already, you will know it to yourself if you are ready to face the freelance writers’ world. Why let it stay as your hobby, if you can get paid out of it? It is true that there are people who can’t spend full-time in writing so they just want it as their leisure. On the other hand, there are also part-time writers. You can check out your schedule and find your most convenient time to write. This way, you are not only doing your hobby, but you are also getting benefits from it. Furthermore, you enjoy what you are doing.

Ask yourself before diving into any decision. If writing makes you happy and you want to make money out of it, then go now and find jobs online. However, if you just want to make it as your hobby, it is still okay. The most important thing is you are happy with the decision you made.
