The elephant is the oldest living mammal on land. It lives up to 60 or 70 years. In addition, it normally walks about 4mph, spend about 16hrs a day eating and can swim long distances.
The musk, which has more than 100,000 muscle units, is one of the special features of an elephant which serves as a nose, a hand, a signaling device and a tool for gathering food, siphoning water, dusting, digging and a lot more other special functions such as reaching as high as 23 feet, twisting and coiling movements used for tearing down trees or fighting and many more.
An elephant is emotional. It has incredible memories, it cries, it laughs. It is also sensitive especially when a family member like a baby elephant will complain about something, the whole elephant family will go over the baby to caress it. An elephant also grieves at a loss of a family member.
